We are The Cardboard Crowns, a collective of picture book illustrators, who met taking  illustration courses as we each took a deep dive into the picture book world.
 

We found ourselves organically building a network of like-minded artists, who have a generosity of spirit and a determination to succeed. While our styles and personalities differ, our passion for children's illustration and picture books connects us. We live and breathe this wonderful, magical space with an aim to create transformative books for kids that help them navigate the world around them.
 

Cardboard Crowns Collective was born out of a desire for us to be part of a community, to share our challenges and our wins and we have found strength through the sharing of ideas, critiques and encouragement. We are keen to share some of this with the wider illustration community and we hope that by talking openly about our collective journey into this industry, we can inspire you along the way!
